It never gets old looking back at some of the before photos of our home and seeing how far we've come, slowly completing projects for the last 2.5 years, doing it all ourselves and just figuring it out as we go. We're still not finished, but getting so close! The kitchen is the major interior project left to tackle, as it's a complete gut, like the bathroom. A few weeks ago, I got an email from @rejuvenation customer service stating the sconces I have hung next to my bed are recalled. I called the number they provided where I spoke with a kind woman who placed a new order for me and said a new shipment with the fixed issue will be on its way, free of charge. ⠀
Stuff breaks. Things happen. I get it...but amazing customer service in dealing with it goes a LONG way. Especially when ordering furniture or decor online, which I do majority of the time. The sconces are not cheap, and I was shocked they happily sent new ones out to every customer that has the recalled sconces. I truly appreciate the amazing customer service, and almost shop exclusively at places that offer it. A few other online retailers I’ve had amazing customer service with are @jossandmain @target @wayfair @minted @zappos and as always, @nordstrom. Not sponsored, just a girl who shops online a lot 😉 What are some of your favorite retailers with great service?

For our kitchen renovation I think we're going with butcher block countertops because they are so affordable yet still look great. But I'm curious about their durability and maintenance. Do they stain easily? Get water marks? Do you have any experience with butcher block? Please share any info you know! There are lots of new faces around here so I'd thought it'd be fun to do a quick little introduction. Hi! 👋 I'm Amanda and I'm obsessed with helping women decorate their home in a way that reflects their style to create a home they love. I've loved decorating ever since I was a kid and would rearrange my room constantly and ask my parents to take me to ikea that was 2 hours away. I grew up on a farm in a tiny town in Iowa. I moved to San Francisco after college and lived there for a while before coming back to Iowa. Now my firefighter boyfriend 👩🏻‍🚒and I are renovating our first home. So far we've renovated the bathroom and living room, up next is the kitchen. I have a major sweet tooth (ice cream is my fave!) and love hanging outside with our drahthaar
