FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How does delivery work?
All pieces must be delivered to our trusted, local White Glove Delivery company (third party) and will be delivered in (typically) one installment to your home. Here they will receive, unbox, manage, inspect, and store all of the pieces in their warehouse until it is time for delivery + installation!
What if I don't know my design style?
I work with you using Pinterest & inspiration photos to help narrow down YOUR personal style! It’s usually a mix of styles and I think it’s SO much fun. During our concept planning you will provide feedback to ensure we’re on the track aesthetically.
Where do you source furniture?
Quality is our HIGHEST priority when it comes to sourcing furniture for your space. Buying direct from manufacturers vs retail ensures you get premium, exclusive pieces that are available to designers only. We have more options for fabrics, custom and unique pieces at Pottery Barn quality and above. With our vendor relationships you pay lower than retail pricing.
How long are furniture lead times?
Lead times vary from vendor to vendor & are always fluctuating + any custom furniture will have longer lead times (ranging from 8-32 weeks) compared to stock pieces. I do my best to source pieces that have the quickest availability to minimize any frustrating backorders if you’re on a tighter deadline.
What if I have existing items I want to keep?
We can absolutely work those special pieces or accessories that hold sentimental value into the design. In the initial design questionnaire we will ask you to name each piece and include photos as well.
How are purchases made?
All purchases—including furnishings, accessories, window treatments, wall coverings, and more—are handled through Amanda Katherine Interiors using trusted trade sources. In some cases, contractors may directly purchase specific products as needed.
Will I be able to make any revisions?
We have a detailed questionnaire process and consultation that asks the important questions and details we need to get a really good start. Then in the consultation we will talk through your exact wants and needs. After the design presentation, you will have the opportunity to make 1 revision. We have found clients don’t need any more than that because of our thorough process upfront.
